Remembrance Day parades and services

TDC Chairman, Councillor Simon Morrow, will be attending the Remembrance Day parade with his Consort at Warlingham War Memorial on Sunday 14 November. He will be accompanied by Chief Executive, David Ford. The procession will start from the Scout Hut at 10.20am and the ceremony, including the wreath laying, will take place at the War Memorial from 10.50am.

Other councillors will represent the Chairman at the following services and parades on Sunday 14 November:

  • Councillor Tony Elias will attend a service at St Mary’s Church, Bletchingley, which starts at 10.50am.
  • Councillor Charlotte Swann will attend a service at St John the Evangelist Church, Blindley Heath, which starts at 10.15am.
  • Councillor Catherine Sayer will attend a service at St Bartholomew’s Church, Burstow, which starts at 9.30am.
  • Councillor Chris Botten will attend a service at St Mary’s Church, Caterham on the Hill, which starts at 10.45am.
  • Councillor Michael Cooper will attend a service at the Church of St John the Evangelist, Caterham Valley, which starts at 10.15am.
  • Councillor Phil Flower will attend a service at the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Chaldon, which starts at 10.30am.
  • Councillor Mark Ridge will attend a service at St Georges Church, Crowhurst, which starts at 10.40am.
  • Councillor Nicholas White will attend a service at St John the Evangelist Church, Dormansland, which starts at 10.30am.
  • Councillor Judy Moore will attend a service at St John’s Church, Felbridge, which starts at 10am.
  • Councillor Chris Farr will attend a service at St Nicholas Church, Godstone, which starts at 10.15am.
  • Councillor Lynn Mills will attend a service at St Johns the Evangelist Church, Hurst Green, which starts at 10am.
  • Councillor Claire Blackwell will attend a service at St Peter’s Parish Church, Limpsfield, which starts at 10am.
  • Councillor Liz Lockwood will attend a service at the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Lingfield, which starts at 10.45am, followed by the laying of wreaths at the War Memorial.
  • Councillor Liam Hammond will attend a service at the Church of St. Peter and St Paul, Nutfield, which starts at 10.45am.
  • Councillor David Stamp will attend a service at St Mary’s Church, Oxted. This parade will begin at 10.15am at the Royal British Legion, Church Lane, followed by a wreath laying at the memorial at 10.30am and a service at St Mary’s Church which starts at 11am.
  • Councillor David Lee will attend a service at St Luke’s Church, Whyteleafe, which starts at 10.30am.
  • Councillor Carole North will attend a service at St Paul’s Church, Woldingham, which starts at 10.45am.
  • Councillor Mick Gillman will attend the service at St Mary the Virgin, Horne which starts at 10am.
  • Councillor Colin White will attend the service at St John the Baptist, Outwood which starts at 10.45am.

A service will also take place from 10.30am on Saturday 13 November at the Village Centre, Tatsfield, which Councillor Martin Allen will be attending.

To help accommodate the parades, there will be some road closures in some parts of the district
